Brindle Farms collaborated with the Old Growth Collective on a second rosin vape. The LA KC live rosin vape cart is LA Kush Cake for the strain. I'm not sure why they couldn't just say LA Kush Cake this time but I figure it's Health Canada or BC Cannabis being weird about names again. They do provide a lot of nice information on the back of the bag, things like lineage, breeder, and extraction method. They do put a nice little vape holder card in the bag so it can’t flip around. If they have to use a bag this is an element I would like to see more brands using.
The price of $48 does sting a bit given it's for a half gram rather than a 1g which can be gotten from other LPs right now for similar products. This is very unfortunate as this means even with these being nice vapes, they are not nice enough for the price and are already sitting for quite a long time in stores. These were released back in May and there are still quite a few stores with them in stock with no second release I've seen. There are just as many of the Sour Animal too which were released earlier, likely because of that price. I do get that rosin does cost more to make but this isn’t a true concentrate rosin and more a hash oil and there are already rosin 1g carts that cost the same for twice as much.
The flavor seemed very delicate to me, I didn't really get much flavor other than a lightly sweetened earthy type which was light enough to feel like I wasn't tasting much of anything. It had a similar taste to LA Kush cake prerolls I have had before. There wasn't any leakage and minimal clogging as well. The high came across as a lightly indica feeling but almost a more balanced hybrid in the end. I kind of felt a bit let down with this one versus the very nice feelings I got off the Sour Animal vape. I would love to see more even with the price but that could be I am hoping for more Like Sour Animal and less like LA KC.
