I've been wanting to try Potluck for a while and it just happened BC got their seasonal flower. Their Gingerbread Kush is a hybrid but I've had Sugar Cookies before from Pure Sunfarms. Every time I see their bags I really feel they are under utilizing their space. I don’t think a back label with terpenes, lineage and other information would really cost them that much given how cheap this is to start. There were a lot of leaves and stems still left on which isn’t appealing. I'm also not surprised at the size of the buds being on the smaller size given how little this 7g cost. There were only two good sized ones and the rest were on the much smaller side. The aroma isn't amazing but does have a very nice gingerbread vibe going on, more just ginger than cookie though. They did have a nice color inside and out and fairly decent trichomes under the scope. It did grind very dry but that wasn't surprising from how it felt.

The smoke was on the smoother side but really lacking in flavor. It came across very generically with mostly a vague spiciness with hints of wood and musk. It was nice though that it was consistent from beginning to end. I would have love for more of that ginger aroma to have come through in the flavor. The smoke was pretty smooth, just a slight tickle once in a while. The high was fine but kind of on the shorter side as well as being mostly balanced in effects. It didn’t really stand out in any particular way in either head or body high. Honestly I kind of like how average this strain is. I could see offering this to folks new to cannabis and seeing what they liked or didn't like to pick something better. This has a pretty solid niche I think with the price being just right for what you get.
