We have another V.C.C. product! This time, their newer cultivar, Rainbow Marker, is bred by LIT Farms. When I heard about this one, I was super excited. The Rainbow family is my second favourite cultivar after Blueberry. I also bought this eighth at their Farmgate store. So there is an elephant in the chat room so to speak before we get into the review. Because of Meta’s stupid ass cannabis content ban, Victoria Cannabis Co’s Instagram accounts got deleted. So the team at Cannaviews can’t even shout them out.
Package: The flower came in the standard V.C.C. dark blue mylar bag. I love that V.C.C. has so much information on the back of the bag. To be nitpicky they probably want to throw the harvest date on just for the consumers who don’t understand the full process of harvest, cure, and packaging.
Score:4.9/5
Bud Aroma: When I opened the bag the aroma was noticeable from a distance filling the room. While it advertises as a “soapy gas” I found it to be more in the sweet berry and candy department.
Score:5/5
Flower: Most of the buds were medium in size, and the whole bag weighed 3.54 grams. All the buds had a perfect trim. The buds were extremely dense being more elongated than round, with a dark green, and purple colouring, you know the parts you can see that aren’t caked with trichomes. The stigmas were medium-length with a brown to orange colour. When I did the squeeze test the buds bounced slightly.

Final Bud Score:4.33/5
Trichomes: As you can tell from the above picture you can easily see the trichomes without any kind of jeweler’s loupe or microscope. I found the outside colouring of the trichomes to be a bit more on the golden side then on the milky side with a few robust trichome heads in the development area. The inside was about the same with it being more golden then milky and the same for the development.

Joint: The papers that I used were the Canadian Lumber The Hippy due to it being a moist post grind. It was a more medium-sized joint due to the papers being 1 ¼. I found the dry pull to overall be strong, with a complex flavouring of the sweet berry candy I smelled in the buds with an added hint of a tropical taste.
I found the first few puffs to be equally complex with the same flavour as the dry pull with an added sour soap taste in the middle of the joint the candy taste tapered off with a light sweet berry and the sour soap taste in the last few puffs. The ash was a white colour and I had no sensation in my throat throughout the whole joint.

Dry Herb Vape: So for a dry herb vape I used the Storz and Bickel Crafty+ at 180 degrees Celsius for a low heat setting. I found that the first few puffs had that candy berry taste but the last few puffs were just fruity with no sensation for smoothness. The vaped herb was a brown colour.

Overall Experience: So I found the overall experience of the rainbow marker to be enjoyable. It’s definitely a stay-in-and-play-video-games type of high for me personally. I would recommend something like the SIMS where you have no brain power needed for it. I liked doing some yin yoga paired with it at the end of the day as it relaxes me enough to get a deeper stretch. I hope one day I can tag V.C.C. again to promote them but go check out any of their products you’ll be so happy you did.
