Opening thoughts:
I'm into trying all types of hash on the rec market. Thanks to a certain hero of mine, hash has become a serious staple in my life.
This here is the Tremblant Afghan Black hash, which is known to be super soft, sticky and potent. Their other styles have proven quite nice, even under another brand Holy Mountain did well.
Is this going to be a sticky mess or gooey goodness?
Now I'm smoking for Science (so you don't have to!)
Break Down:
Packaging: 3.5/5 this was a tough spot for me. The glass jar that contained the product is exactly what I desired but the massive mylar bag with no info wasn't. There's so much you could do to stand out, but don't. The points are mostly for the jar.
Aroma/taste: 2/5 It smelt of resin and distillate, the resin was super mild and the disty wasn't very present until moving the product around. The taste was almost nonexistent and drew the flavors from the products mixed with it. I think this might be the issue with blends, true notes and flavors are lost in the process.
Product: 3.5/5 its soft, easy to work with, sticky/tacky, great dark coloring and rolls nicely. I warn you though it can be over handled and become very very tacky, and may leave a film behind on your hands
The Burn: (OCB papers) 4/5 it burned very well, not causing any canoeing or disruption during consumption. I could feel it soften and melt within the joint.
The Buzz: 2/5 this felt like it heavily relied on the mixed product for the effects to take hold, it didn't add much but helped prolong the experience for a little longer. It may have uplifted me abit but its not my desired hash experience.
The Burnout: 4/5 the drop off wasn't terrible, due to the prolonged experience letting it taper off slowly instead of abruptly.
Overall: 19 /30 I don't think I'm an Afghan Black style hash guy, am I too picky? Is the quality to cost just not adding up for me? I highly doubt I will get this again. I see its use, this is like an intermediate style hash. It's a start for sure. It's making me want to re-evaluate the other hashes.
