Eastcann
Poison OG
Eastcann growers is a small team of legacy growers located in the city lakes of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
They have had a lot of different strain offerings with many different profiles. They definitely work to offer a wide range of strains and flavors, which is great to reach different types of consumers.
Poison OG is a beautiful mix of classic strains. Want to know my opinion?

3.5g option.
Packaging | ⅖
I do enjoy the can, it’s not the worst packaging and I like it more than the bags. These cans are liquid nitrogen filled and have a hermetic seal to preserve freshness. What’s losing points for me is how basic and uninformative their packaging is. It gives you nothing but basic % and these days I expect to see way more, grow info, terpenes..etc. give the consumers more than THC and strain names.
Bag appeal | 4/5
Crack the can and you’re met with just a couple nice sized nugs to make up my 3.5gs! The flower was moist, fresh with great visual appeal. Many shades of both bold and deep greens, hints of purple throughout, a few scattered pistils and a nice layer of frosty trichomes. The trim was done by hand and done well but still noticeably done by hand, which I myself kind of like. I have no real complaints in this category.
Taste&Aromas | ¾
Aroma was a bit of a miss for me, though it smelt very freshly/moist with hints of pine and earthy musk but it was very muted. I found myself wanting more. The aromas just weren’t there for me. The flower was however a lot more flavor forward, I was getting heavier wood notes with back hints of pine and pepper. It was creamy & yet still a bit harsh on the back of the throat.
The Burn | ⅗
It burned fairly clean, a beautiful white ash was present with just a bit of gray/black. The smoke was thick and my only complaint is it’s a bit of a harsh smoke with a lingering tickle in my throat but for me that could be a higher pinene content and not necessarily the flower quality.
The Effects | 5/5
The effect is where this really picked up for me, it wasn’t necessarily a heavy hitter but it was incredibly calming. I felt almost light headed for a bit and it really turned into a relaxing effect with a body heavy high I could feel in my arms and legs. I felt at peace, happy, mellow, focused. I personally really enjoyed the high this provided me with.
The Burnout | ⅘
There wasn’t much of a burnout which I also appreciated about this strain, It kind of just mellowed out, no headache, no sleepiness, no munchies, nothing!
I did experience an extreme case of dry mouth, nothing a ton of water couldn’t fix.
Overall | 21/30
The experience overall was good, there were some things I’d change like packaging and I wish the aromas were more standout but hey you win some, you lose some! The effects were favorable & the burnout was easy peasy. I’d repurchase this just for the effects honestly. If you’re looking for a relaxed and mellow high, this could be a good one for you.
