After trying out the Uncle Bob Big Orange Blunt, I can see where some of the mixed reviews have cropped up from. On opening the tube it almost smells moldy or musty at first before shifting to feet. Yup, stinky feet which is not a common cannabis smell anymore. That could be off putting if someone wasn’t used to it and affect how they see the rest of the joint.

The goji berry paper does feel weird too in that it is kind of spongy. It is kind of implied in how they do that the strain in this will rotate but so far mine like the others has been Purple Gelato. The first half of the joint is quite flavorful. There is citrus and sour and a nice depth of flavor. The second half sadly goes quite mediocre in that it gets choked with resin and the flavor just kind of disappears.

The wrap doesn't help with this either as it just adds to the moisture and it even gets a bit hard to burn. I wasn't even able to finish the last inch as it was so saturated with resin it would not draw or burn. I have seen this happen a lot with very quality flower put into 1g joints. I’m not really sure what might fix it though since it is coming from a high resin output without a high enough heat to burn it all off.

Depending on where that starts to happen in any one of these, that could lead to a very disappointing experience. I did get a nice high but not nearly the strength expected from the flavor and percentages. That too could lead folks to be unhappy with what they got. Perhaps if the flower was dryer it would do better but it feels like with the wrap adding moisture as well there may not be a good solution here. Also my high could simply be I did not vibe with this strain profile. The tube at least had room for all the right kinds of information while not being too large. I really wish people would just use a letter month in the package dates. Given there is no standard in day or month first, when it's 2023-06-07, that could easily be June or July. Products can sit for a while at some stores so that could be the difference between making a sale with that product or needing to put it on sale.
