Packaging 3/5

A pretty average looking mylar bag that included the THC and CBD content, terpene content, and had a humidity packet inside. Very average in all aspects, but for some average priced flower that's fine.

Visual Appeal 2/5

These were decently trimmed, although they did leave a few leaves behind. Not exactly the largest buds and didn’t really have a lot going on in terms of trichome coverage. Nearly impossible to see with the naked eye, mostly just a lot of green.

Bud Size 2/5

Though nicely trimmed, I’d classify the bud size as slightly smaller than average.

Bud Density 3.5/5

Slightly more dense than average, the moisture content certainly helped this one. When you squished, nothing was crumbling or falling apart.

Moisture Level 5/5

I really do like my buds moist, and Tweed hit the nail on the head with this one. You can tell these were slightly over-hydrated prior to packaging, which is fine by me, because at the time of consumption these buds were far from being too dry.

Trichome Density 1/5

I’d be lying if I said anything was easily visible to the naked eye here. You know that meme of Chang looking at the dime bag? That was me looking for trichomes.

Aroma 3/5

Very average smelling, this was the type of flower that makes you think “Yup, it’s weed” but it didn’t have any really prominent aromas that stood out.

Taste 3/5

Just like how the aroma was average and “smelled like weed” the taste was no different. It was average, and it tasted like weed, but nothing special really came through here. It didn’t taste bad, but it didn’t leave me craving more or left with anything too memorable.

Smoothness 3/5

This produced some mild coughing, but it wasn’t too harsh. I’m asthmatic, and a couple of small coughs was enough to clear my airways. No inhaler was necessary.

Potency 4/5

Before smoking this, I had been sampling some of Divvy’s new product line up, and to be honest, I was getting very tired of Divvy. I was eager to try some Tweed to change it up, but I wasn’t expecting a huge quality difference over Divvy, but boy was I wrong! I noticed right away that it hit me much heavier. This was pretty decent! It’s heavy enough before bed that it will ease me to sleep, and when I Wake n’ Baked this on a Saturday morning, I went back to bed effortlessly.

Duration of Effects 4/5

Did this knock me on my ass? No. It was a comfortable high that couch locked me for a little with some mindless social scrolling before putting me to sleep. But did it do its job? Absolutely!

Overall 33.5/55   (61%)

I am always curious about the products my staff claim as their Staff Picks, and it had been a while since anybody selected a Tweed product. Needless to say, I was eager to see how it smoked and whether or not it lived up to the hype. For under $60 for 14g, I wasn’t expecting too much. Overall, this bag was pretty average - packaging, trichome coverage, aroma, taste, this was an average bag but I want to make it clear that average doesn’t mean cheap. Though cheap on the wallet, the quality inside was more than acceptable for the price point. The smoking experience (i.e. taste, harshness) was nothing to write home about, but the high wasn’t terrible. I don’t know that I would pay regular price for it, but for $55 I’d be happy to purchase, repurchase, and recommend. I can't say that about a lot of other flower at the same price point, so despite the score this was still okay.
