Lemonnade

 Medellin

Here we go with review #2 and on the plate today will be an offering from Lemonnade under the Cookies Canada label. The strain is their Medellin which is a cross between Wedding Cake × Serious Chemdawg. The flavour as stated on the packaging is an "old school gas and musky funk" it hits the nail on the head as that nose is overwhelming the instant the jar is opened. The 3.5 contained 2 medium sized nugs that are light green with almost an amber colour coated in orange/red hairs. The flower is dry on the exterior, sticky once broken up. The amber colour of the bud itself is only on the exterior as when it is broken up a galaxy of trichomes are clearly seen.

Bag appeal 6/10

With buds that are uniform in appearance, lacking any real composition or structure, it's hard to tell that this was indeed hand trimmed.

Nose 8/10

The classic GMO funk, heavy, heavy stank, with slight hints of citrus and lime

Nose to taste 6/10

The taste profile is a GMO through and through, with an earthen musk that lingers and gives little leeway to any other notice profiles. The ash is white.

Effect /experience 8/10

I was awake and alert. A cognizant "high" one in which I'm completely aware of my altered state yet it allows me to be functional and interactive, even after a 1g joint. This effect lingered for quite some time, 1 hour or so, there was no burnout to speak of, just a gradual release back to normality

Overall 28/40

A decent outing from Cookies, I would repurchase this based on the effects and the taste as I've grown to be a fan of the GMO profile, however that being said I'm eager to see later iterations of this flower as I am sure this isn't its final form.
