I grabbed this eighth of Coast Mountain Pure Cake Skunk on sale kind of on purpose. This is a brand I normally do not review due to cost. I did want to see how it did handle aging and it did fairly well. I am very certain this is much nicer when fresher. Most products are honestly. On opening the jar, it did have a strong aroma though it did fade quickly. That said, it did still have more throw than most others of it's age. I was surprised by the amount of color left in the buds, they clearly did an excellent job drying them. There was a decent amount of resin during grinding even if it was dry handling. 

The joints even clogged a few times from the resin when smoking. I was pleasantly surprised by the smoke during the first half. It had a very pleasant dill pickle type flavor. Granted I really like dill pickles too. I would say though this probably would do better in a bong or a dry herb vape at this point as repeated joints built up what was at first a slight ashy note to kind of a burned tobacco flavor which I found quite nasty. I did find the effects to be quite mild and the smoke could have been smoother. That said I wasn't disappointed due to the sale cost. I knew that meant it would be older and have some problems. It does make it easier to recommend as it gets older if your company is able to put it on sale.
