One of the direct delivery companies out here in BC is Papa Joe's Organics. These have been incredibly popular both for a decent price and from what I hear quality. I got the last pack of Chocolotti prerolls the store had after it only came in the day before. I wasn't super stoked by the labeling as the ink seemed to be coming off at the barcode which wasn't great. The lot number wasn’t clearly marked as well as the date format being a bit confusing since there are no standards. I assumed it was July 7th based on when I bought it but it could have been June 7th instead.

It did have a good aroma but it felt like it was gaslighting me. It started out as chocolate and then turned into lime. It felt like the harder you tried to find the chocolate note the more it disappeared. The smoke was very different. The flavor was like dark roast brewed coffee with no cream or sugar at first before mellowing into coffee cake soaked with the coffee. Sadly it finished pretty terribly and was lightly ash flavored which did linger over the other two joints. It was very odd having ash just linger over the other nicer flavors as it just refused to go away after the first joint. I wonder if this would do better in a pipe or a bong instead.

It was also dry in the weirdest way. It was a very smooth smoke even with the ash taste. There were quite a few times the coal went out and had to be relighted. It also burned really hot and fast but it didn’t feel like it until the very end of each joint. It also had very black ash. Normally dry joints feel a bit harsh to me but not this time for some reason. It did feel like there was no resin to this at all but no stale taste and it didn’t taste dry either. It did burn evenly for the most part but it was such a pain to light and keep lighting. It even felt at points while at the start like there was too much airflow even if it wasn’t packed too loosely.

The high was pretty solid with a balance of head and body and fairly fast onset. The flavor made it worth the try but I don't know about the overall quality as my impressions were pretty mixed. There are a lot of issues that they need to work on but those first bits of flavor were really good. It also seems like they are a low quantity supplier as these seem to be the first and last into my area for a while which is not necessarily a bad thing but can cause some worries for the company being around long term.
